Ford Mustang (Lego Creator Expert 10265)

Ford Mustang (Lego Creator Expert 10265)

Hello! I recently visited the brand new LEGO store at Bondi Junction, Sydney Australia and I have to report that it is amazing. The store might not have all the products, it does not offer the best prices as compared to departmental store, but the store itself has many Lego scultptures and wall art that are beautiful!

After spending about 30 minutes in the store taking photos, I decided to purchase the Ford Mustang set which was apparently very difficult to find within Australia. My partner purchased the steamboat wilie set which I will review in another post

After completing the set in about 2 hours, the final product is beautiful. I find that this set is alot nicer than the Aston Martin DB5 car because it is more curvy. There were other reviewers who mentioned that the Aston martin (10262) is too boxy.

This Mustang also has a few “modifications” which you can “bolt on” to the car. There are side exhuast pipes, a supercharger, front lip spoiler, Nitrious oxide tank and a boot lip spoiler. I feel like th car looks better without any of the additional pieces, but what do you think? Leave your comments below!

I have read reviews on this set and it is actually one of the few if only creator vehicles which has adjustable steering. There is a video interview by the deisgners which explains the challenges they faced while trying to integrate a rack and pinion set up in such a tight space. Kudos to the team who achieved it and gave us another marvelous build!

There were many wow moments while building this set because of the various unique building techniques such as the door mechanism, and how they integrated the rear windshield in a horizontal way. Here are the photos of the building process!
